With PPC (or Pay-Per-Click) advertising, marketers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. You actually pay for clicks to increase visits to your site. The most common type of PPC consists of advertising on search engines. Advertisers can bid for ad placement in a search engine’s sponsored links; these ads will then appear when someone searches a keyword that is related to what their business is offering. Typically, the ads will appear to the top and right of the organic search results. PPC is also sometimes called SEM (or Search Engine Marketing).
